The magnificent former country residence of Sir William
Gilbert is set in over 40 acres of beautiful gardens and woodlands. A shrine
for Gilbert & Sullivan enthusiasts from all over the world, the hotel
will be presenting all the G&S Operettas during the 2006 season. Life
is never dull at Grim's Dyke with other entertainment ranging from Murder
Mystery and Auction Challenge Dinners to Gourmet Nights.
Grim's Dyke Hotel is a carefully restored country house renowned for
its special musical events, banqueting, conference and wedding facilities
and in 2004 received a 3 Star Silver Standard Award from the English Tourism
Council.
The hotel and grounds have been used as a backdrop for many famous feature
films & TV programmes, and make an ideal location for corporate events
and special interest conventions.
Accommodation - The Hotel has a total of 46 bedrooms and suites,
34 of which are in the adjacent Lodge and two of which have facilities
for disabled persons.
Facilities include multi-Satellite TV channels. Period rooms also include
personal laundry service, 24 hour room service and fruit basket.
Dining & Local Information - Gilbert's Restaurant, once W.S
Gilbert Billiard Room, is one of the most impressive areas in the house.,
with its magnificant inglenook fireplace. Fixed price and a la carte menus
available. the restaurant has an AA rosette and 2 RAC Dining Awards.
Facilities - The beautiful house and grounds have made
Grim's Dyke a very popular location for wedding ceremonies. The wedding
ceremony will normally take place in the same room as your wedding breakfast
and we have three suites licensed for this purpose.
Conference & Meeting - The hotel has a number of rooms
suitable for all types of conferences and meetings for anything from 10
to 90 delegates. Each room has individual characteristics and, whichever
you book, you and your colleagues can make use of the extensive grounds.
